Today we’re going to show you how to assemble a BNC Male Clamp/Solder Connector # 301 It Feature a BNC male connector on one side, and fits any RG59 cable on the other. The items included are -The locking bolt -Washer -Grommet -metal Spacer -Pin -and BNC connector The tools needed are -a strip tool -a RG59 cable -and a soldering tool Strip back the outer jacket and dielectric using the strip tool. The advantage of using a coax stripper is that it will strip back both the jacket and dielectric at the same time. Fold back the braided shield and insert the connector housing onto the cable jacket. You will need to push firmly and apply pressure to make sure that full contact is made between the center conductor and the center pin. Insert the connector into the compression tool and firmly squeeze in order to make termination. This will compress the connector, securing it to the cable jacket. Congratulations, you have successfully installed the BNC Male clamp/solder connector.

Welcome to Show Me Cables. Today we’ll be taking a look at the commonly used and often confusing DIN connectors. This is the 6 Pin Mini DIN male solder connector. To install, you will need the following items: low voltage cable, wire strippers, solder and soldering iron and the DIN connector. Start by inserting the plastic boot over the jacket. Measure how far you will need to strip back the jacket by holding the cable up against the base of the connector. Then, strip the cable jacket using the wire strippers. For this example, we are using Cat5e cable. You will also need to strip the individual conductors. Trim off any additional conductors, if needed. Now comes the hard part. Soldering. If you are new to soldering, it is recommended to find a someone who is more experienced for best results. There are 6 solder points on the connector, corresponding to the pins at the front of the connector. Be aware, there is not a standard wiring for DIN connectors and the wiring can widely vary between
