These OM5, wideband, multimode, bend insensitive fiber (BIF) cables are optimized for multi-wavelength transmission systems operating in the range of 850-950nm. Short Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM), which reduces the parallel fiber count by at least a factor of four, allows for the continued use of just two fibers (rather than 8) for transmitting 40 and 100 Gb/s with reduced fiber counts and higher speeds. BIF cables offer greater flexibility in more demanding environments. It is typically used in data centers or any areas where tight bends and high flexibility are required. The unique refractive trench with a low refractive index glass layer in BIF, which reduces light dispersion upon twisting and bending, ensuring network transmission is stable and fast. This cable has a minimum bend radius of 7.5mm and a low smoke zero halogen rated jacket.
