Couplers from ShowMeCables
Couplers are small devices, typically around 1-inch long, used to link two cables together. The average coupler will have two female ends to plug cables into, allowing two male cable ends to connect. Couplers are most commonly used to implement an on-hand cable as an extension cord instead of having to purchase a separate, standalone male/female extension cable. Some couplers use male ends to connect two female cables, although for the most part this is only seen with coax. Couplers are also sometimes referred to as gender changers since they change the initial cable end they are connected to from male to female or vice versa.
