Current Cat6 standards allow 10 gigabit ethernet over limited distance, so if you need a long, fast, and reliable signal then Cat6a is for your network.
Cat6a is designed to carry a 10 Gigabit signal (10GBASE-T) up to 100 meters. Cat6 can only send a 10 Gigabit signal 37-55 meters. Furthermore there are dramatic improvements in alien crosstalk (AXT) prevention with Cat6a.
How are you patch cables measured?
Our patch cables are measured from tip-to-tip. There is however a tolerance to be aware of. This tolerance is listed as (+ or –) in inches on the spec sheet for each product. For this cable the tolerance is between 99 - 101 feet.
