Also, referred to as portable cordage, flexible cord, or extension cord the cable is used in a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Portable cords can be exposed to constant flexing and harsh environmental conditions including temperature extremes as well as oil, chemicals and abrasive materials.
