Why are the cables much shorter than the listed length?
The cable length that is listed is the uncoiled length. This is an industry standard practice of measuring handset cords. So the 6 ft. cable once coiled is only around 13 in. The 12 ft. cable's coiled length is 20 in. The 25 ft. cable's coiled length is 45 in.
What is the difference between Standard Lead and Extended Lead?
The difference is the length of the flat (uncurled) leads at the end of the cord. Extended lead handset cords feature a 4 in. uncurled end while a standard phone cord has a 1.5 in. uncurled end. The length you need depends on your phone. If you need to route the cable under the base of your phone then an extended lead will give you a longer uncurled end. Most customers use the 1.5 in. standard handset cord.
Will those handset cords fit my phone system?
Yes all of these handset cords will fit your phone even recessed phones. The connectors on a handset cord are a standard throughout the industry
