RCA Products from ShowMeCables
RCA is the old standard for audio/video cables that used to be on televisions and similar devices like VCRs. There are two main versions of RCA, composite and component. Composite RCA is the red, white, and yellow triple RCA and the more common of the two. The red and white cables transmit audio while the yellow cable sends video signals. Component RCA has five cables instead of three. Red and white cables are still used to control the audio while red, green, and blue cables together are used for video. There is also a version called digital coax that sends audio on a single line colored orange. RCA can connect directly to other analog signals like 3.5mm but requires a converter to work with digital sources like HDMI.
