Keystone Products from ShowMeCables

Keystones are small inserts designed to snap into place on keystone wall plates and mount boxes. A keystone wall plate or mount box will have one or more square-shaped holes designed to accept keystone jacks. The keystone inserts are built with various audio and data connections typically seen on wall plates, such as telephone and ethernet jacks. Some keystones are punchdown, meaning that bare cable is wired directly into the back of the jack. Other keystones are couplers, which allow you to plug a cable into the back and the way you plug into the front. There are also different sizes of keystone jacks available. Standard jacks just labeled “keystone” are the same size regardless of manufacturer. However, some manufacturers make different sized keystones, such as ICC’s High Density (HD) jacks, to save space. Make sure all your keystone equipment is the same type and size before any installations.
