The word “cables” is a catchall term that can be divided into two main categories: patch cables and bulk cable. Patch cables are premade cables that come terminated (with the end connectors already attached). These are the typical, off-the-shelf cables that you can find at any store to hook up devices like a TV or computer at home. Bulk cable is bare cable that does not come with any ends pre-attached. ShowMeCables sells full rolls of bulk cable and cuts it by the foot as well. Bulk cable is usually used for installations or when making your own cable if you need a length that is not available as a patch cable.
