With the siamese construction of this cable, there are two parts. One wire is 4 pair, solid Cat5e cable and one wire is 16 AWG 4 conductor speaker wire, together you can seamlessly transport both your speaker level and control level signals. The 65/34 stranding of the speaker wire makes it flexible and unlikely to kink.
