Very pleased to find these. On line catalog was very intuitive. The transaction and shipping were flawless. Not much to go wrong with the product, it works as expected.

PROS: The product gets the job done; On time
    CONS: None specified
Works but the first line, or Line-1 (L1), is usually found on the inner pair. L2 on the outer pair. This one has it reversed. It also doesn't comply with the Registered Jack wiring/polarity for the 2-line connector, RJ14 (6P4C), with respect to Tip and Ring (note that the combined plug is actually 8P4C). However, polarity doesn't matter on most modern phones/phone devices. These differences are easy to overcome and may not even matter to most people thus the reason for 4 stars.

When I upgraded from a to a multi-line phone system, I needed to combine my 4 individual lines into two two-line (rj12) jacks. This adapter did trick. plugged two single line rj11 cables into this adapter, then patched from the adapter to the new phone system. Works great, right price, fast delivery. Great overall value!

Came very fast. It was exactly what I needed. I couldn't find it at any bricks and mortar store. They all had "L1+L1/L2" & I needed to divide it into 1 & 2. Thx

Q: What is the difference between an RJ11 and an RJ12 connector?

A: Both connectors are the same size and appear the same. However, looking at the contacts an RJ11 will only have 4 contacts. An RJ12 will have 6 contacts.

Q: What are the terms 4P4C, 6P4C and 6P6C referring to?

A:

4P4C: 4 Position 4 Conductor ( RJ22) - used for Telephone Handset cables.

6P4C: 6 Position 4 Conductor (RJ11) - used for ADSL, telephone, and modem cables.

6P6C: 6 Position 6 Conductor (RJ12) - used in System phones.

Q: Which adapter or splitter should I use. Reverse or straight?

A: Newer phones can use a straight or reverse pinned line cord. If you’re unsure of the age of your phone a reverse pinned cord will work with any age phone
