Great little solution. I was able to use my noise cancelling headphones with inline mic and didn't have to buy a ridiculously expensive specialized telephone headset.

I was really grasping at straws to find something for work. Neck and upper back was aching from cradling phone on shoulder. Was told by our finance department a headset would cost over $175 and budget could not handle. I ordered this and it worked great. As it happens, a head set was found and installed. Truth be told, I kind of like using this phone adapter jack to the fancy head set. Thanks for a good product.

We needed to push a "blanket" voicemail message out over our phone system, and an iPad was the easiest solution for recording. This cable did the trick, and audio clarity was great.

While the idea of the item is perfect and exactly what I was looking for it has issues with our setup. When using this device with iPhone headset (or any headphone mic combo) the person on the other end of the line would hear an echo of their own voice. Please take into consideration our setup: These were connected to Polycom VVX 400 phones. The VVX 400 were making/receiving calls from our hosted

I thought it was defective but playing around with it I noticed that the audio and MIC source use the same speaker which basically means wrong pinout for your device. I have crimpers and ends to correct the pinout but it would be nice if I didn't have to go this route. Oh and device is the Polycom VVX 500.
