When you've run out of 3 1/4in drive power supply cables, you will need to convert one from a 5 1/4in power supply cable. This 4-pin male 5 1/4in to one 4-pin female 3 1/4in and one 4-pin female 5 1/4in converter is useful for connecting a 5 1/4in power supply cable to a 3 1/4in drive (i.e. hard-drives) without sacrificing the original 5 1/4in drive connection. In other words, this cable allows you to add a whole new 3 1/4in drive power connection.
