PROS: The product works really well; Super fast
    CONS: None specified
The kit is great for repairing HDMI cables. It does require good soldering skills but the transition printed circuit board makes it a little easier. I've repaired two cables using this connector and both are working great. It does not come with any kind of a wiring diagram but the color schemes vary by manufacturer anyway. I was able to use the existing broke connector to create my own wiring diagram. You may need some heat shrink tubing depending on the cable. Shipping cost is very reasonable and I've received the connectors within 3-4 days.

PROS: The product gets the job done; On time

Wrote a thoughtful review but the system threw it out. So here is the bottom line that won't be very informative: PCB is un-tinned and hard to solder to. I ran it through a SMT tinning process but most folks don't have that sort of gear. HDMI male connector leads may have been corroded. They fight solder like a house cat fights water. Strip lengths were not specified. Housing is to short for an effective lead fan-out if you want to use the strain relief. All in all a product that goes through the right motions but does not deliver. Once "free shipping" would take one or two days, now it always takes the Amazon allocated 10 day maximum. This shipment was no exception.

Great kit, if you have an intermittent cable, cut off the end and use this to solder the tiny wires (magnifying glass) to fix your cable. We had to make a custom length cable, and this worked out great!!

I picked up a 50" HDMI cable for a few dollars because the plug on one end is broken. Now I can fix it and save myself a chunk of change on the HDMI.

This is a follow up to my earlier review. I bought a HDMI circuit tested and discovered I had an open in the #7 wire. I re-soldered the connection and all is well now. TV, BluRay, everything at 1080. When the suggestion is to test the cable after soldering the ends on do it. I bought an inexpensive PYLE brand tester and found the open. I opened the snap together case with a small knife blade.

These connectors did work for me however I did lose some bandwidth or the signal did degrade some from the factory connector. I think that may have been my fault. I damaged the original connector being careless when I plugged it into my TV. The cable goes through my wall and I have a two story home. No way to run another cable without cutting into the walls. I used a 15 watt soldering iron but

I had a 27 foot HDMI cable routed through a small conduit in my wall going to a projector. When swaping input to a laptop, the original connector popped and completely fell apart (still don't fully understand how). Nevertheless, it was a compete loss. Replacing the cable would be expensive and a real pain. This replacement connector was just what I was looking for. After cutting about 0.25" from t
