PROS: The product works really well; Super fast
    CONS:
we recently made the corporate decision to standardize on Cat6 cabling even if the project specs request less feature rich cabling. i purchased these connectors along with matching strain relief boots. the patch cables we were preparing were an odd length so making them ourselves made more sense, the boots provided strain relief and provided a more professional look as well as extended the expected life of the cable. the guides worked as expected and the cables tested out perfectly. we look forward to an excellent project and most importantly, a satisfied client.

    CONS:
I'm no pro at crimping cables, but I was able to use these connectors without a problem. I have heard some folks say they don't like the guide, but for a novice I found it to be helpful.

What is an RJ45 connector used for?

An RJ45, also named 8P8C connector is most commonly used in network and telecommunication applications. It can also be used for other data type communications, such as serial.

What is the difference between a solid and stranded connector?

A solid RJ45 connector has 3 teeth that pinch the solid wire to ensure good contact. A stranded RJ45 connector contains 2 teeth that bite the strands to hold the wire in place. Stranded is typically used when you are making your own patch cables.
