These flat cat6 cables are 1.2 mm thick, allowing them to fit into tighter spaces than conventional patch cables. Perfect for running under carpets or using in network rack in order to provide more ventilation, these flat cat6 patch cables have the same functionality as our standard cat6 patch cables. The only difference is a slimmer profile for the actual cable. These cables are UTP (unshielded twisted pair) 32 AWG flat 4 pair stranded copper with a CM-rated PVC jacket and two RJ45 connectors. Black only.
Keep in mind that Cat6 is backwards compatible to Cat5e. Because Cat6 can be used in place of Cat5e for all applications--as well as being more readily available--Cat6 are the only flat patch cables sold by ShowMeCables.

What is the difference between these cables (Molded Boot vs. Non-Booted)? - The cables are exactly the same, they only differ with the style of covering over the release clip. Molded Boot has a bubble protector to keep the RJ45 release clip from snapping off, Non booted comes without a boot.

Outdoor Patch Cables - This type of cable is for direct burial and outside applications.
Shielded Patch Cables - These are useful for environments where a close proximity to power cables, RF equipment, or high power equipment may introduce crosstalk, and can also be used where interference with radio receivers or where eavesdropping should be minimized.
Cat6a Patch Cables - Backward compatible with the existing standards, this technology is suitable for industry sectors utilising high-performance computing platforms to support very high bandwidth-intensive applications. 10G/Cat 6a applications will initially be deployed in server farms, storage area networks, data centers & riser backbones..
